The New Defero

They say a journey of a thousand miles begins with the very first step. In 2012, we’ve definitely laced up the Asics® and strapped on the Camelbaks® as we venture out into an exciting, evolving landscape.

While you may have been pleasantly surprised to visit our newly redesigned, fresh-faced website, the largest changes lay in the foundations here at Defero. To ring in the new year, our team celebrated the culmination of six months of diligent efforts reformulating our very DNA, including: a refocused and restructured business approach, vast capability extension, exclusive technology acquisition, strong creative growth and an incredibly aggressive tack on progressive ventures and expansion.

Digital marketing has evolved drastically (again) over the past few years – I often hear our team refer to these seismic industry shifts as digital “Big Bangs.” This rocket ship-cool collision of web, video, social media, mobile and paid media has ushered in this latest disruptive era where we, as marketers, are forced to recalibrate our communication compasses.

And adaptation is certainly key. Our preparedness for this ride transcends the latest tech trend, flavor-of-the-week strategic jargon, or hot design technique, though. The newly reorganized team at Defero is passionate about knowing what’s next, but more importantly, is dedicated to understanding the implications of what’s now for each of our clients and their businesses. We hang our hats on harnessing this alchemy of bits, brains, bots and branding to create measureable, trackable and meaningful results for our clients. Bounds beyond ‘campaigns’ and ‘projects,’ Defero’s new platform allows us to act as an extension of your internal team or organization – as digital brand managers that can reach, shape and engage your target audience.

Now, for my favorite part: we’ve hired some really cool people. Because of this shift in structure and focus, we’re growing rapidly and acquiring top talents that are fueling our tomorrow. Over the past few months, our Phoenix office has welcomed Summer Oliver as a Sr. Account Manager, Katie Huntley as a Solutions Architect/Strategist, Meghan Mast as an Account Coordinator, Hailey Crider as a Business Analyst, and Crystal Lozano as an Email Specialist. As of press time, the team is interviewing for another six or seven key positions. Time to buy stock in Asics®. . .

In fact, to keep all of our brainpower under one roof, we’ve recently relocated to a state-of-the-art new office space in the Biltmore area of Phoenix, AZ. Please be sure to stop in for a warm welcome if you’re in the area.

Until then, here’s to the rest of the journey and to a healthy, prosperous and joyous new year!
