Defero is an integrated marketing agency with offices located in Phoenix and Reno. We help brands create meaningful off- and online conversations with their customers. Current clients include Right Guard, World Market Center, Purex, International Gaming Technology, and Meritage Homes among others.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Defero is searching for an outstanding web developer to be responsible for developing a multitude of online solutions from full websites, microsites, Facebook applications, mobile websites, email marketing deployments and more. Our web developers work closely with our project managers, strategists and our studio to develop specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies. Programming, graphic design and database administration are all elements of this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS
- Develop and implement web interfaces for efficiency and ease of use using standards based coding.
- Must be able to hand code HTML4 or 5 or xHTML and CSS3.
- Must be able to edit and implement JQuery and/or Javascript.
- Maintain and enhance existing CMS websites built with Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla, DotNetNuke.
- Setup, test and deploy managed email campaigns in Exact Target, Blue Sky Factory and WhatCounts.
- Graphics development/deployment with Adobe CS toolkit.
- Plan, document, and test all web-based and data driven applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cross-browser issues.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized with excellent communications skills.
- 2+ years experience hand-coding Front End Web Development.
- Expert in HTML and CSS3.
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to edit and implement JQuery or Javascript.
- Knowledge in content management systems, preferably strong knowledge in Drupal.
- Working knowledge of Ajax and PHP.
- Working knowledge of Exact Target, Blue Sky Factory and WhatCounts a plus.
- Must thrive in multi-tasking, distributed environment and have a demonstrated ability to schedule and meet deadlines as a strong team player.
- Good communication skills both written and oral.
- Understanding of HTTP, comfort with all layers of the LAMP stack.
- Understanding of web standards and security.
