Utilizing Grocery Apps To Boost Conversions

From the Islands to the Mainland

Bubbies has been serving delicious mochi ice cream since their founding in Oahu in 1985. Their super-premium ice cream, made with a secret family recipe, is wrapped in sweetened rice dough and transports you to ice cream paradise in one bite.

 

Our Mochi Mission

To capitalize on National Ice Cream Day and Bubbies’ summer “Treatwave campaign”, we needed to cut through the clutter and make it easy for consumers to buy our tasty treats.


Our Strategy

You’re On the List

We decided to get in front of our target audience by running a summer-long ad campaign on a network of grocery apps.

First,

we analyzed data from Albertsons, Safeway, and Sprouts shopping mobile apps to find shoppers that aligned with our target audience: 22-54-year-old females, moms, college-educated and higher-income shoppers.

Then,

we implemented Add-to-List and Click2Cart ads both inside and outside of the grocery network of apps that made it easy for consumers to add Bubbies to their shopping carts.
